Fishing Report

Week ending 1 May, 2023

We had more of the same last week with most of the fish being caught on the top or just below the surface. It was not always easy to net alot of fish but they were showing in all areas of the lake and if you could figure out what they wanted there were some aggressive takes and great fights to be had. Many varieties of emergers and dries worked very well all week. Top hat and shuttlecock buzzers caught a good number of fish along with klinkhammers, shipmans, hawthorns and daddies. You could Also have plenty of success with buzzers a foot or so down either fished under an indicator or part of a washing line setup. With Roberto Deblock managing a very impressive 32 rainbows on a combination of size 16 klinkhammers and small buzzers right at the end of the week and with the next restock tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd) we are expecting an exceptional month ahead of us.
