Last week was another fantastic weeks fishing with only a couple of slow days and even then they were very active in the evening. We had warm and sunny days for most of the week which didn’t send the fish down for the most part as they were more than happy to take a variety of dry flies and emergers. Mayfly, daddies, hawthorns, top hat buzzers and many others working well. When they did go deeper, cats whiskers, snakes and woolly buggers did well. Many anglers reaching double figures once more last week and very few went home with a blank. Towards the end of the week the heat did seem to take it’s toll a bit and fishing did slow down a bit but with cooler wetter conditions on the way things should improve again.
