Fishing Report

A fantastic week of fishing with many different tactics working. The fish were receptive to black and green buzzers a few feet down at times. Various nymphs worked often under an indicator or part of a washing line. As usual though it was a case of finding what they wanted and when they wanted it. As quickly as the weather changed so did the trouts appetite, not just changing day by day but often hour by hour. One minute an angler was catching double figures with a black apps with a fast retrieve then a while later damsels, yellow dancers and black and green patterns were working. The most consistent performer of the week however was the black buzzer under an indicator taking a great number of the fish. We had our first barbecue this year with Robert Maples and his pals who had a great day. The group of 9 caught 29 fish including a gorgeous brownie and a sizable bream.
