Fishing Report

Week ending 24/04/2022

Most of the action last week was happening either on the top of the water or just below. Fish very active all over the lake.

Hoppers, daddies and emergers taking huge numbers. On a couple of days the colder north easterly wind seemed to send the fish lower down and nymphs and buzzers did the trick as well as lures and even a black snake.

A fair number of anglers easily made double figures this week but we have to give a shout out to Martin Smith who consistently catches high numbers. His 36 trout on Saturday including 4 browns was very impressive.

After a few sightings of Hawthorn flies around the lake recently we are expecting them to kick in soon which should add to the fun.

We have 5 places left for the charity event on Saturday, May 7th which should be a lot of fun so if you are interested in booking in, contact Dean 07525730447. All details can be found on our website: www.blackdykeflyfishing.co.uk or on facebook.
