Fishing Report
Week ending 22/01/2023

This week hasn't started well as the lake is completely frozen over and impossible to fish. Last week however saw some exceptional fishing with only Sunday really being affected. Still ,once we cleared some spots of ice and got to it a few fish were caught.
The rest of the week saw some fantastic fishing and even though the temperatures were very low at times, with the sun out it was actually quite pleasant.
Early on in the week blobs and fabs worked well and many were caught using snakes mainly white and green. The fish were usually not very far down but sometimes you did have a bit more luck if your snake or booby snake was used with an intermediate line. Later in the week saw the yellow dancer do very well and there were many anglers having luck with this pattern. Other patterns that worked well during the week were the apps, the damsel and the minkie.
A few were caught on the top with daddies and klinkhammers as the fish were willing to come up occasionally especially in the shallower water. A few anglers also tried buzzers and crunchers throughout the week and also had some success. All in all it's been a good week with plenty caught with a variety of methods but I'm pretty sure we are all ready for the ice to melt now so we can get to the fish once more.
