Fishing Report
Week ending 04/09/2022
We only have one day to report on this week as the fishery had its grand reopening yesterday so there isn't too much information to be gained yet. What we have learned though from yesterday was all positive. The new fish have settled in nicely being evenly spread out around the lake. The lake is in tip top condition with almost no weed, at a very good level and the water temperature is dropping by the day. We had a great turn out for the barbecue opening day with some very committed, knowledgeable anglers very happy to be doing their thing once again.
Many patterns and techniques worked through the day yesterday with fish being caught at different depths. The first fish of the day caught by Martin Smith for the second year on the trot, this time with a black snake. Will Salmon had the blob working off the jetty but probably the most prolific was Alan Bayford and son Andy using Fabs from the south bank in front of the carpark. Other flies working were damsels, pin fry, yellow dancers and cats whiskers. Yesterday was a special day and we thank you all for turning up and enjoying it with us.
