There was some exceptional fishing to be had during the past week with many of the fish being caught on the south side of the lake. Early in the morning on a few of the days anglers had success with Apps bloodworm and buzzers. Then as the days progressed they seemed to prefer chasing fry patterns. The most prolific catcher being the white snake with cats whiskers, minkies and many other colourful lures doing the business. The fish were usually not too far down either with most being caught in the top 4 feet of the water. Now that the weather is consistently cooler the fish have been up for it and once hooked they have really put up a fight. As we are now going into some of the best months to catch trout on the fly you can feel the excitement building with each week being better than the one before. We will be planning a Christmas get together in the coming weeks and as we would like as many of you as possible to join us we would love your input. It could be a competition of some sort or just fishing with food and fun. We will post information about this soon so look out for that.
